Bindaree Food Group brought together a cross-section of the Australian beef industry last night as naming sponsor of the Casino Beef Week Industry Dinner for the third consecutive year.

The event welcomed producers, processors, customers and community leaders from across the supply chain, reinforcing Bindaree’s long-standing connection to Casino and the Northern Rivers region.

This year’s dinner centred on the theme of “What We Do” — shining a light on the people, partnerships and processes that underpin Bindaree’s operations across both domestic and export markets.

Hosted by MC Lyndsey Douglas, Editor-in-chief and Director of Writers Who, the evening featured a curated dining experience showcasing Bindaree’s beef programs, alongside a series of moments that connected guests to the broader industry. Attendees heard directly from producers and customers, reinforcing the strength of relationships across the supply chain, while Richmond Valley Council Mayor Robert Mustow addressed guests with reflections on the region and its industry significance.

Chief Executive Officer, Andrew McDonald, acknowledged the importance of the event in bringing the industry together.

“Casino Beef Week is an important moment on the calendar — it’s an opportunity to reconnect with the people who make this industry what it is,” Mr McDonald said. “From producers through to customers, it’s those relationships that continue to drive our business forward.”

A highlight of the evening was the charity auction, led by renowned auctioneer, Allen Ramsey, which raised $7,000 for Windara – Achieve Australia, a disability support service provider in the region.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Bindaree Food Group Chairman, John Kotzur, who reflected on the collective contribution of industry and community.

“There’s something pretty special about a room like this — people from all parts of the supply chain, all playing their part,” Mr Kotzur said. “What we saw here tonight is what makes this industry strong — good people, strong relationships, and a willingness to give back to the communities we’re part of.”

The fundraising contribution builds on Bindaree’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, with previous Beef Week initiatives contributing to regional causes.

As a business with deep roots in the region, Bindaree continues to invest in events like Casino Beef Week as a way to celebrate the people behind the product and strengthen connections across the supply chain.
