Bindaree Food Group is proud to announce a new three‑year partnership with the Australian Intercollegiate Meat Judging Association (ICMJ), supporting the next generation of talent across the red meat supply chain.
As a not‑for‑profit organisation, ICMJ plays an important role in educating and inspiring students and young professionals, helping them build the skills, confidence and industry connections needed for long‑term careers in red meat.
Through the partnership, Bindaree will serve as a key sponsor of two major annual ICMJ events — the Northern Conference in Rockhampton each April and the National Conference in Wagga Wagga each July, from 2026 to 2028. These events provide valuable opportunities for participants to share knowledge, build networks, and gain real‑world insight into careers across the supply chain.
Supporting ICMJ aligns closely with Bindaree’s commitment to developing people and strengthening capability across the red meat sector. The partnership also complements Bindaree’s growing graduate program, helping create direct pathways for emerging professionals to join the business and build rewarding, long‑term careers.
In addition to the three‑year agreement, Bindaree is proud to be the naming co‑sponsor of the 2026 ICMJ Asia Tour, which commences this week. The two-week program will showcase Australian products in key export markets, with participants visiting retailers, distributors and processing operations across Japan, China and Indonesia, providing valuable insight into how Australian beef is positioned globally.
We’re especially proud that our own team member, Jo Tulloch (Livestock & Feedlot Senior Analyst) has been selected as one of only six participants for this year’s tour. Jo will join other emerging leaders visiting a range of meat service operations — including some of Bindaree’s valued customers.
In another exciting first for Bindaree, 2026 will also see our business enter a team in the ICMJ Meat Judging Competition in Rockhampton this April. The competition offers a hands‑on learning environment where participants can test their skills, gain industry exposure and connect with peers from across the sector.
We look forward to sharing updates from the ICMJ Asia Tour and the Meat Judging Competition in the months ahead, as Bindaree continues to invest in the people who drive our industry forward.
